CUENTA REGRESIVA PARA EL 28º FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DE MAR DEL PLATA

Palpitando el Festival

En el Cine Gaumont se llevó a cabo ayer  la presentación oficial de la edición  28°  del Festival. Se anunció la programación en su totalidad, además de novedades relacionadas con las distintas secciones, actividades especiales y mención de los jurados de las competencias. La película de Apertura para esta edición será la chilena Las analfabetas, de Moisés Sepúlveda.
Para ir entrando en clima, se proyectaron los dos spots promocionales dirigidos por Mariano Santilli, junto con el spot institucional dirigido por el gran animador Juan Pablo Zaramella, realizado íntegramente con la técnica stop motion, que se podrá disfrutar antes de cada proyección en todas las salas.
Luego, las palabras del presidente del Festival, el Sr. José Martínez Suárez, dieron inicio al evento que tuvo lugar en el Cine INCAA Km 0 Gaumont. La programación recibió, a lo largo de todo el año, un total de 2400 películas, de las cuales se seleccionaron 247 largometrajes y 168 cortometrajes, que se exhibirán en 625 funciones, un récord histórico para el festival, informó Martínez Suárez que, a su vez, destacó la importancia de las retrospectivas dentro de la programación, ya un clásico del Festival. Este año, estarán dedicadas a: Bong Joon-ho, John Landis, María Cañas, Pierre Étaix, Juan Antonio Bardém, Jorge Cedrón, Roberto Rosselinni, Miklós Jancso, además de la proyección de obras de Hitchcock y de dos clásicos de la cinematografía nacional: No habrá más penas ni olvido y Un muro de silencio.
El presidente del Festival hizo mención a los jurados de las competencias. El jurado de la Competencia Internacional estará presidido por el mencionado Bong Joon-ho, junto con Paula Astorga Riestra, Guillermo Martínez, Luciano Sovena y Javier Angulo. La Competencia Latinoamericana tendrá como jurados a Juan Bautista Stagnaro, Joâo Canijo y Lúcia Murat. El de la Competencia Argentina estará integrado por Isabel Orellana, Carlos María Domínguez Sven Pötting. Por último, la Competencia Work in Progress (proyectos en desarrollo) contará con Julio Artucio, João Pedro Fleck y Vanessa Ragone como jurados.
Luego, fue el turno del presidente del Instituto Cultural de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Jorge Telerman,quien celebró esta nueva edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata y destacó la importancia de trabajar en conjunto con el INCAA para seguir mejorando, año tras año, la calidad de un evento cinematográfico de esta envergadura.
Finalmente, tomó la palabra la Presidenta del INCAA y futura diputada, la Sra. Liliana Mazure, quien, antes de pronunciar su discurso, invitó al escenario a Fernando Spiner, Productor General del Festival, que agradeció con vehemencia al público y a las autoridades y enfatizó la idea del festival como “la gran fiesta del cine argentino”.
Para cerrar, Liliana Mazure subrayó algunas cuestiones de la programación, en particular la presencia de Programa País, que estará a cargo de numerosas actividades especiales, entre ellas la exhibición de varios títulos nacionales donados y restaurados por Turner Internacional Argentina, además de otros acontecimientos como la proyección de la primera película argentina en 3D, Buenos Aires en Relieve, dirigida por Don Napy, sumados a charlas con maestros, presentaciones de libros, mesas redondas y debates, entre otras. Para finalizar, la presidenta del INCAA recalcó la importancia de la creación de una Videoteca Nacional, asignatura pendiente del Instituto Nacional de Cine.
Y así se dio cierre a la Presentación Oficial del 28° Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata. Ya estamos cada vez más cerca, ya nos vamos preparando para el inminente inicio de la gran fiesta del cine, del evento cinematográfico del año.
