SOUL OF A BANQUET, a film by Wayne Wang
We are partnering with our friends at Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival to bring acclaimed filmmaker Wayne Wang's (The Joy Luck Club) latest film, Soul of a Banquet to kick-off the 2nd year of MIFF’s Lee Brian Schrager’s Culinary Cinema program presented by Plymouth Gin, curated by Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival founder Lee Schrager, continuing at MIFF's 31st edition. Wang presents the amazing story of chef Cecilia Chiang, known for introducing America to authentic Chinese food, and the personal triumphs and heartbreaks that have gone into the creation of her remarkable cuisine. Both Wang and Chiang will be present, as well as food-world notables Ruth Reichl and Michael Murphy.
