La semilla del silencio Felipe Cano - 2016 Colombia Locations: Bogotá Downtown, Chapinero, La Soledad   Maria del Rosario Duran, a human rights attorney investigating the participation of a top ranking military man in the disappearance of a group of young civilians, is mysteriously murdered. Detective Jorge Salcedo who was working with her on the case, gives himself to the task of discovering who's behind this crime, at risk of becoming the next victim.     Two short films selected for the #15BOGOSHORTS receive Oscar nominations   Negative Space by Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata, and Garden Party by ILLOGIC, have the opportunity to win the coveted statuette in the Best Animated Short Film category. Negative Space was selected in the International Animation Competition of the 15º BOGOSHORTS, and the short film Garden Party competed for the Audience Award in the Collections Competition.   Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water is not a plagiarism of a Dutch short film   The Mexican filmmaker and Marc S. Noellkaemper, director of the short film The Space Between Us, came to this conclusion after an encounter to solve the controversy raised since August, 2017. The main similarity between both works is in the premise of the story: a woman in charge of cleaning a laboratory meets an enclosed anthropomorphic sea creature, with which eventually she establishes a sentimental relationship, and frees it.

A hilarious war breaks between a Trump-like mega robot and several stereotypical Mexican Latinos. This funny short film was screened as part of the 'Coexist/Survive = Robots/AI' program at the #15BOGOSHORTS.
